
A faulty or damaged ink cartridge can cause problems in printing. You’ll need to replace the Canon Ink Cartridge so that it will work properly. Purchase a new Ink Cartridge and replace Canon Cartridge with a new one.

Replace Canon Cartridge:
- Unplug the Power & USB cables from the wall outlet.

- Turn off the printer completely.
- Open the printhead and wait until the cartridge stop moving.
- Press the Cartridge and unlock it.

- Remove the Ink Cartridge and clean it.

- If the Ink Cartridge is faulty or damaged then replace it with the new one.
- Purchase a new Ink Cartridge and remove the packing of the Ink Cartridge.
- Shake the Ink Cartridge using both hands.

- Install the cartridge in the correct position inside the printer.

- Close the printer cover and plug the cables again.
Replace both Ink Cartridges:
- Unplug the power cables from the wall outlet.
- Open the printer cover and push out the Ink cartridge properly.
- Press the Cartridge and unlock it.
- Remove both cartridges and purchase the new Ink cartridges.
- Check the labels before purchasing:
Black Cartridge (PG-37/PG-40/PG-50/PG-510/PG-512/PG-540/PG-540XL)
Color Cartridge (CL-38/CL-41/CL-51/CL-511/CL-513/CL-541/CL-541XL) - Insert the Ink cartridge in the correct position.
- Close the printer cover and turn on the Printer.
