
Google Chromebook is all about online services; therefore sometimes you need to get a good-fashioned printer that accompanies your digital adventures. Printing from a Chromebook has gotten a lot easier over the few years but sometimes it happens that we don’t know how to start with these paths. So, keep reading to connect the canon printer to Chromebook.

Step 1. Prepare the Canon Printer
Leave the connector of the printer out of the socket.
- Remove your Canon printer from its packaging and remove all tape and transport material. Also make sure that you remove any protective material on the inside of the printer. Check the manual to make sure you don’t forget any material.
- Insert the connector into the socket to power the printer.

- Place paper in the paper tray.
- Make sure that the printer is turned on.

- Press and hold the Wireless connect button (A) on the printer, and then release the button when Direct icon(B) flashes.

- Make sure Network status icon and the horizontal bars (C) flash as shown in the illustration below.

Step 2: Prerequisites for Connect Canon Printer
Before you go any further, you’ll need to make sure:
- You have a Google account.
- You’ve already connected and installed your printer on another computer with either a Windows / Mac / Linux operating system on it.
- The computer is powered on and connected to the internet.
- The printer is powered on and ready to accept print jobs (perhaps send a test print to confirm everything is working OK.)
- If you haven’t done so already, install Google Chrome.
Step 3: Connect the Printer to Chromebook?
Following the steps above, one can easily get the print from a Chromebook. All that needs to be ensured is that the desired printer for having output is selected well, and the orientations are selected thoroughly.
- Connect your printer to a wireless network: Open the printer’s menu, select the Wi-Fi network to which you want to connect, enter the network’s password when prompted.
- Tap the time section: It’s the section with the time in the lower-right corner. This displays a pop-up menu.

- Tap the Wi-Fi icon: It’s the icon that resembles a dot with arches over it. Tap this icon to open the Wi-Fi menu.
- Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on: Your Chromebook should start scanning for Wi-Fi networks.

- Click Connect: It’s below the password text field. Log you into the network, now you are ready to connect the printer to your Chromebook.

- Click on the account icon: First of all, you have to click on your account icon which is on the bottom right corner, then the menu will appear.
- Tap on settings: You will get the setting option in your account icon, click on it.

- Click on Advanced: Click on the Advanced option that you will get to see at the bottom of the Setting option.

- Select Printers: On the printing, section click on the printer’s option.

- Add Printer: Click on Add Printer, you will see the list of the printers which is currently available.

- Select your printer: Now look for your printer and select whichever you want to use.
- Click on Add: After selecting the printer’s name, you will find the Add button below that section. Just click on it to proceed to print any document from your Chromebook.
Step 4: Print from a Chromebook
- Go to the menu icon available at the top-right corner of the Chrome Web browser.
- Select Print from the menu.
- Put a lick on Change, which can be found under Destination within the menu.
- Select the desired destination.

- Adjust things like Page Range, Layout, Orientation, Margins, etc.
- Select Print from the Options section on the left side.
